Public Records Requests (CORA)

The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) allows public access to most government records, including those from school districts. Exceptions include student records and certain parts of personnel files.

Student records are protected under the Family Educational Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA), not CORA. Please contact your child’s school directly to request these records.

Financial information may already be available on our website. Before submitting a CORA request for financial records, please check the website to see if the information you need is already available.

To request records, you may fill out this online form. A request can also be sent to the District Superintendent by email or mail. Please be as specific and detailed as possible to help us process your request efficiently.

Fees may apply for requests that involve more than basic word processing. You will be informed of any charges in advance, and payment is required before the request is fulfilled.

Please see district policies KDB and KDB-R for the more information about CORA requests, including fees.
