I have been teaching in the West Grand School District for 21 years.  I grew up in Kremmling, graduated from West Grand High School, attended the University of Northern Colorado, then came back to work in Kremmling.  I earned my masters degree from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs in 2007.  I am currently working on my principal licensure from CSU.  I have been married to my husband, Chad, for 24 years, and we have 3 sons, Travis, Casey, and Brady.  I am currently teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Reading and Language Arts.

I love spending time with my family boating, camping, and hiking.  I am passionate about reading.  I love working with Middle School students.  They are naturally curious, energetic, and idealistic.  They keep me on my toes, and every day is a new experience.  I am equally passionate about teaching academic subjects and helping students develop their personalities.

I graduated from Concordia University in Seward, NE where I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Education with an English degree and coaching endorsement. My husband, Jake, and I have lived and worked in the community since 2011.  We have two wonderful boys, Braxton and Gage. We are thankful for this community and look forward to raising our family here. We enjoy all things the great outdoors of Colorado offers: hiking, biking, camping, and the spectacular scenery.

At the middle school, I teacher sixth, seventh, and eighth grade language arts, both reading and writing classes. I have a passion for literature and the possibilities that literature and language can open up for each of us as members of society. It is my goal to foster an appreciation and love for learning and to give the students the tools necessary to communicate effectively in today's world.

Sports are a big part of my life. I played college basketball and my husband played college football. I am the head girls basketball coach as well as an assistant track coach at the high school. Sharing knowledge of the game and practicing fundamentals of the sport is something I thoroughly enjoy. I believe that sports, or any extra-curricular activities, allow for a unique learning experience that teaches life lessons for the athletes.
